Just the right size resort, enough to do during the day and evening and don't have to walk a mile to get everywhere. Service was great. Rooms and view are superb. Food choices and quality are definitely not 4 or 5 star. Mainly Mexican guests so they cater to them I guess (which is fair) but staff speak good English. Overall, very relaxing and enjoyable. I would return buy my husband was not pleased with the food so he would rather not come back.

The resort was nice, smaller than some others we've been to, but offered a more personal experience. Most of the bartenders remembered my drink preference within a day. Everyone was so kind and helpful. We were there in February, during whale season we has the privilege of watching whales right from our balcony. We did a Mezcal testing and had a wonderful experience with Smith, Daniel and Alexa as the leaders throughout the tasting experience. Great conversation and very patient with my lack of Spanish skills. Daniel, alexia

Our family of 4 (kids are 8 and 10) loved our stay here. The heated pool was a big perk. The "Funtastic" activity team were phenomenal! Victoria was great with our children and we asked her several times during our stay for her translating skills. We can't say enough good things about her and crew. The foam party a highlight of the trip.

We had a lovely stay at Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta. The beachfront location is breathtaking — waking up to views of the Bay of Banderas from our ocean-front balcony was a highlight. The resort’s setting feels relaxed and scenic, with the beach right at your doorstep. Many reviewers mentioned “beautiful ocean views and a lovely outdoor pool and beach”. The staff here were genuinely friendly and attentive. We appreciated the daily room cleaning, the helpful bar team, and the welcoming concierge service. Reviews consistently praised the service and cleanliness of rooms. The all-inclusive plan is convenient — multiple restaurants (buffet plus à la carte) and bars on-site mean fewer outings elsewhere. As the property says, it “offers a wide gastronomic offer, bars, spa & wellness centre, water sports and excursions”. Things to consider: While the beach is beautiful, it’s somewhat limited in size and there are spots where swimming is less ideal (rocks/undercurrents) as reported by a few guests. The restaurants received mixed feedback: some guests loved the Italian specialty restaurant and seafood, while others felt the buffet could be improved and found waits at à la carte restaurants long. Because the resort is slightly further from downtown Puerto Vallarta, it’s best if you plan to stay mostly on-site. According to one review: “the hotel is located about a 30-minute drive south of Puerto Vallarta”. Bottom line: If you’re looking for a relaxing, scenic all-inclusive beach stay with good service and ocean view rooms, this resort is an excellent choice. For guests prioritising gourmet food or being right in town nightlife and restaurants, some compromises may apply.

This was a beautiful location. Great beach for swimming, snorkeling and seeing seashells. The funtastic team has activities everyday and the star of the funtastic is team is Victoria, as we don't yet speak lots of Spanish her translation was awesome as she speaks great English.

The entire team was amazing, but Cony, Filiberto, and Betsa consistently stood out. Their attention to detail, willingness to help, and positive attitudes made us feel valued as guests. They treated us with genuine care, not just standard customer service. A special thank-you to my main man El Guero, the night shift security. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and reassuring. His presence made us feel safe and comfortable at all hours, and his friendly demeanor was truly appreciated. We will absolutely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for outstanding service and hospitality.

The positives - we really enjoyed the drinks and the variety that could be ordered, the view from our balcony, ocean, sports bar for watching Thursday night football view from the pool chairs facing the ocean, and customer service from the majority of the staff. The resort is the perfect size as you can walk anywhere within it without strain as well as have easy access to the beach. We also loved the daily grill that was by the pool. Rooms were very nice and clean with lots of fresh towels and comfortable bedding as well as a fully stocked fridge. The gym was very neat and tidy with lots of machines to use as well as treadmills and ellipticals that were always disinfected by the staff, towels and a water dispenser were provided too which made it a very pleasurable fitness experience. The room also included one of the coolest looking showers I have ever seen so that was another positive part of the luxury Mexican all inclusive experience. Criticisms - the main pool with the swim up bar is in a bit of an odd spot as it is covered in the shade so it doesn’t get any sun. To add to that, the pool isn’t heated so it feels pretty cold, making it hard to stay in for long periods of time. As for the food critiques, there wasn’t a whole lot of variety within the restaurants/buffets, I know that you can’t expect the highest standard from an all inclusive due to the massive amount of food that is served (I have yet to visit an all inclusive with consistently good food, but that’s not really the point of the trip). Also, only one restaurant was open on our last day (January 1st, 2026) so the low variety was shrunken again due to the restrictions. We also didn’t really get any clarification for that which would’ve been helpful. One more little thing to note, the worker at the front (his name was Ignacio) who manages the shuttles and taxis coming in, was a little bit rude and didn’t seem to want to help us get a bigger taxi or other form of transportation due to our large group. We told him that we needed a larger vehicle (he spoke good English and understood what we requested) however, we kept on getting small taxis that would’ve made the ride uncomfortable. Eventually, due to time constraints, we did have to use a small taxi that wasn’t very comfy during the 53 minute car ride. Overall - I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone who enjoys good weather, pristine views, great drinks, and excellent beaches. If you are going to an all inclusive, you can’t really expect the food to be super savoury, you are going for the weather, beaches, and relaxation, therefore I would go into town for a couple of meals and to see the beautiful sites that Puerto Vallarta has to offer. Google isn’t able to do a decimal system, I would give the resort a 4.4/5.

We came on a trip with my husband and in-laws, and it was such a relaxing experience. The beach is absolutely beautiful, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The resort offers several different restaurants, and the food was excellent I highly recommend the birria de Jalisco, it was so good! We happened to visit during a hurricane, so we couldn’t go in the ocean for part of our stay, but that was okay because the activity crew kept things fun and entertaining. A big shoutout to Smith, who was so upbeat and friendly he made all the activities a blast! The staff here is incredibly friendly and the hotel is spotless. I even saw them take down every piece of wall art to clean behind it and literally wash the walls every day, which was so impressive. The only thing I would suggest is to add more variety to the food, as it was mostly the same options every day. I’m a bit picky, so I ended up skipping breakfast a few times. Overall, though, this resort is beautiful, relaxing, and welcoming we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it
